TRANSFORMATION THROUGH CHRIST

A life that reflects Him

BEGIN WITH HUMILITY

Our part begins with humility. We ask the Lord to reveal what isn’t in agreement with His truth. When He gently brings something to our attention—a fear, a wrong belief, an unhealthy reaction, an attitude, or an expectation—we resist the temptation to defend it, deny it, or explain it away. Instead, we acknowledge it honestly before Him.

BRING IT TO THE LIGHT OF

GOD'S WORD

From there, we bring that area into the light of God’s Word. We ask, “Father, what do You say about this?” As the Holy Spirit reveals His truth, we choose to agree with Him, even when our feelings haven’t caught up yet.

RESPONSE THAT TRANSFORMS

Then, day by day, we begin responding according to His truth rather than our old patterns. That is how renewed thinking gradually becomes a renewed way of living.

QUESTION 6 - PART 2

How Do We Cooperate With the Holy Spirit?

Renewing the mind isn’t something we accomplish through willpower, nor is it something that happens without our participation. The Holy Spirit faithfully does His part, and He invites us to do ours.

How Do You Recognize the Holy Spirit's Word?

Often, it begins with a gentle awareness that something isn’t quite right. A Scripture suddenly speaks directly to an area of your life. You notice yourself having the same reaction over and over again. A conversation, sermon, or quiet moment in prayer brings a hidden attitude into the light. Instead of condemning you, the Holy Spirit lovingly reveals what has been shaping your thinking and invites you to see it through God’s truth. His goal is never to shame you. His goal is always to lead you into greater freedom and make you more like Jesus Christ.

Thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and make my restoration possible. Thank You for not leaving me where I am, but for giving me Your Word and the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth.

Lord, I humbly ask You to show me anything in my thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, expectations, or reactions that is not in agreement with Your truth. If I have believed lies about You, about myself, or about other people, please bring them into the light. Help me to recognize the places where fear has replaced faith, where hurt has shaped my thinking, or where old conclusions have been directing my life without me even realizing it.

Give me a heart that is willing to receive Your correction without becoming defensive or discouraged. Help me to trust that Your conviction is always motivated by Your love and that Your desire is to heal me, not condemn me.

Through Your precious Holy Spirit, please open my understanding as I spend time in Your Word. Teach me to recognize Your voice and give me the courage to agree with what You reveal, even when it challenges the way I’ve always thought. Help me surrender every area of my life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, trusting that Your ways are always better than my own.

Thank You for renewing my mind and transforming my heart. Teach me to see You, myself, and others through the truth of Your Word. As You change the way I think, change the way I respond, so that my life increasingly reflects the character of Jesus Christ.

Thank You for Your patience, Your faithfulness, and Your unfailing love. I trust that the good work You have begun in me, You will faithfully continue until it is complete.

In the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

JOHN 16:13 (NLT)

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

JOHN 14:16-17 (NLT)

QUESTIONS THAT LEAD TO TRANSFORMATION

Every healing journey begins with honest questions. The Holy Spirit brings truth, wisdom, revelation, and understanding as we surrender the inward places of our lives to Jesus Christ.
