Our Statement of Faith
Our Statement of Faith summarizes the biblical truths that guide the teaching, mission, and ministry of
Springfield Fellowship. These core beliefs shape every resource we create and reflect our commitment to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, encourage spiritual growth, and help people live according to the truth of God's Word.
GOD
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, love, wisdom, justice, and mercy. God desires a personal relationship with those who place their faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human while remaining fully God. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection, He made salvation possible for all who believe in Him. Jesus alone is the way to the Father and the Savior of the world.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity, who dwells within every believer. He teaches us, convicts us of sin, guides us into truth, and empowers us to live lives that honor Jesus Christ. As we surrender to His leading, He transforms us from the inside out, producing Christlike character and equipping us for God's purposes.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His plan of salvation, and His Will for our lives. It is the foundation for everything we believe and the standard by which we seek to live.

Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God’s grace, made possible through the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be earned through human effort or good works but is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through salvation, we are forgiven of our sins, reconciled to God, made new in Christ, and given the promise of eternal life. As we continue walking with Christ, the Holy Spirit transforms us, renewing our minds and helping us grow into spiritual maturity.

The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and surrendered to His Lordship. God calls His people to gather together in worship, encourage one another, grow in His Word, and proclaim the hope of the gospel to the world. Every believer has been given a unique role and purpose in strengthening the body of Christ and serving others through love.

Spiritual Growth
and Discipleship
We believe every believer is called to continually grow in faith and become more like Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit as He renews our minds, shapes our character, and teaches us to live according to God's truth. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we seek to follow Him faithfully and encourage others to do the same.

Prayer
We believe prayer is a privilege and a vital part of every believer's relationship with God. Through prayer, we worship our Heavenly Father, express our dependence upon Him, seek His wisdom, and bring every concern before Him with confidence. God hears the prayers of His people and faithfully works according to His perfect will.

The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return as He promised to fulfill God's redemptive plan and establish His eternal kingdom. His return is the blessed hope of every believer and encourages us to live faithfully, serve wholeheartedly, and remain steadfast in our faith as we eagerly await His coming.

Eternal Life
We believe everyone will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him. Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ receive the gift of eternal life and the promise of dwelling with Him forever. This hope gives believers confidence, purpose, and assurance both now and for all eternity.
