TRANSFORMATION THROUGH CHRIST
A life that reflects Him
1. WHEN YOU'RE READY TO BE HONEST
There comes a point where you stop trying to push through and start realizing something deeper needs your attention.
Not everything that affects you is visible on the surface. Some things have settled into the way you think, the way you respond, and what you’ve come to expect out of life.
You can love God and still feel the effects of something that hasn’t been dealt with.
And the truth is, healing doesn’t begin when everything makes sense. It begins when you’re willing to stop overlooking what’s been shaping you.

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds."
PSALM 147:3 (NLT)
2. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT'S BEEN SHAPING YOU
Take a moment and slow this down.
This isn’t about over-analyzing yourself. It’s about recognizing patterns. When life presses on you, something rises up automatically—thoughts, reactions, expectations. That didn’t come from nowhere. It was formed somewhere, and it’s been shaping how you respond and what you believe, even if you’ve never slowed down to notice it.
Not what you say you believe.
Not what you hope is true.
What actually shows up when life presses on you?

What thoughts come up automatically?
What do you expect to happen in difficult situations?
Where do you feel tension, resistance, or heaviness?
These are not random. They point to something.
Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) tells us, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
That means what’s happening internally is not small.
It’s shaping direction.
3. LET TRUTH DO IT'S WORK
Ephesians 4:22-24 (NLT) says, “22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God--truly righteous and holy.”
That means you don’t have to stay in agreement with everything that has been shaping you.

Some thoughts feel natural, but they were learned.
Some reactions feel automatic, but they were built out of past experiences.
And some beliefs feel true, but they were never rooted in God.
This is where the shift begins.
You start recognizing what has been influencing you, and instead of letting it stay in place, you bring it into the light—not to condemn yourself, but to allow truth to correct it.
That means you stop overlooking it and call it what it is—before God. You become honest about what’s been shaping your thoughts, your reactions, and your expectations.
Not to condemn yourself, but to allow truth to correct it.
Truth is what brings freedom.
Not just hearing it.
Not just agreeing with it.
But allowing it to confront what has been shaping you and replace what was never rooted in God.
4. WHERE YOU BEGIN
You don't have to fix everything today.
Just start with what God has already brought to your attention.
1

Take a moment and sit
with it.
What stands out to you the most?
What keeps coming up as you read through this?
2

Bring that before God honestly.
Ask Him to show you what’s been shaping your thinking, your responses, and your expectations—and allow Him to begin replacing it with truth.
3

You don’t have to rush this.
This is where healing begins.
Because healing is not just about feeling better. It’s about no longer being shaped by what isn’t true.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
PHILIPPIANS 1:6 NLT
5. A SIMPLE PRAYER
Dear Father God,
You see what I’ve been carrying, even the parts I haven’t fully understood. You know the places where my thinking, my responses, and my expectations have been shaped by things that don’t align with Your truth.
I don’t want to keep living from those places.
Help me to recognize what has taken root in my soul. Give me clarity where there has been confusion, and truth where there have been wrong beliefs. Teach me how to bring these things to You instead of holding onto them or trying to manage them on my own.
I trust that You heal completely, in truth and faithfulness, according to Your perfect Will.
Thank You for meeting me here.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, I pray, amen.

6. WHERE YOU GO FROM HERE BEGIN
Remember, you don't have to figure out everything today.
You just have to take the next step.
Healing happens as you continue to bring what’s been shaping you into alignment
with what God says is true.
And you don’t have to walk through that alone.
Read articles that bring truth and clarity to what you're walking through.
Access tools and resources designed to help you do the inner work.
Keep moving forward as God brings healing and alignment to your soul.

Where You Go From Here
You don’t have to leave this page the same.
Whatever came to your mind as you walked through this—that’s where your healing begins.
Not by ignoring it.
Not by pushing past it.
But by allowing God to meet you in it and bring truth into that place.
